BellSouth Economic Development Information System is an interactive database-driven multimedia system distributed on CD-ROM and electronically updated by BellSouth on an on-going basis. This system is used as a tool to answer questions from economic developers and from customers regarding BellSouth's service capabilities. A user-friendly data entry program was also created to allow the client to easily update the program information. One of the features found in this multimedia program is a GIS-style mapping system that displays transportation infrastructure, telecommunications infrastructure and political district boundaries layers.

Each module within the Viewer Site allows the visitor to search and find records using a variety of search criteria, to view record information and to generate MS Word formatted mailing lists from the search results.
