BellSouth Economic Development Information System is an interactive database-driven multimedia system distributed on CD-ROM and electronically updated by BellSouth on an on-going basis. This system is used as a tool to answer questions from economic developers and from customers regarding BellSouth's service capabilities. A user-friendly data entry program was also created to allow the client to easily update the program information. One of the features found in this multimedia program is a GIS-style mapping system that displays transportation infrastructure, telecommunications infrastructure and political district boundaries layers.

UtiliCorp United Communities Intranet Viewer and Data Maintenance Web Sites - the Viewer Site enables all company employees to access a detailed database of current service territory community information. Each module within the Viewer Site allows the visitor to search and find records using a variety of search criteria, to view record information and to generate MS Word formatted mailing lists from the search results. The Data Maintenance Site enables authorized employees to update the database information.
